micro:bit == Light! Sounds! Actions!
Theme: INTERACTION WITH LIGHT AND SOUND SENSORS
Duration: 10 lessons (1.5 hours per lesson)
From dancing robots to banana keyboards, micro:bit has all the features we need to code awesome stuff and the possibilities are endless! Micro:bit is embedded with several sensors (such as accelerometer, temperature, and etcetera) which can use as the input for a project.
Based on the hardware and software knowledge of the micro:bit, kids will learn how to program their micro:bit in order to from the interaction between a sensor and an indicator.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understanding of pin out in hardware to establish proper communication with external items.
- Programming based on the input value either from sensor or from buttons
- Exploring of human gestures and embedding into hardware.
Outlines:
- Recap on micro:bit
- Buttons
- Pins
- Light Sensor
- Temperature Sensor
- Recap on MicroPython
- Music
- Movement
- Gestures
- Project – A temperature sensor with a buzzer and LED light
